Let's Get America Covered. How Can You Help?
Forty-six million Americans, including 9 million children, are living without health care coverage--forced to gamble every day that they won't get sick or injured. That's a risk no one should have to take.
The time for change is now. Here are a few ways you can get involved to make change happen:
Tell Us What You're Doing
Highlight the issue in your community
- Host an event such as a news conference, campus event, faith event or other type of event
- Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper and work with the media
Stay informed and help spread the word
- Learn more about the issue and proposals to solve the problem
- Share your views with family, friends and neighbors
- Sign up to get the latest news and research to share with friends, neighbors and co-workers
Help enroll uninsured families
- Host a health and enrollment fair
- Order free materials that feature a toll-free number parents can call to find out if their uninsured kids are eligible for low-cost or free health coverage and distribute throughout your community.
